Yes. Travel within 25 km is included. Beyond that, a travel fee of $1.50 per kilometre applies. If multiple clients book sessions at the same location, travel costs can be shared among appointments.

After booking, you'll receive a preparation guide with tips on clothing, grooming, and session planning. Neutral, timeless clothing generally photographs best and keeps the focus on you and your animals.

Your gallery will typically be ready within 2–4 weeks following your session, depending on the type of session and the level of editing required.

Absolutely. Horse & Rider sessions are designed to celebrate the bond you share with your horse through portraits both on the ground and, if desired, under saddle.

Equine Portrait sessions are fine art focused and often involve extensive retouching and artistic editing to create polished wall-worthy artwork. My other sessions are edited in a more natural style while still receiving professional enhancements to ensure your animals, fmaily, or friends look their very best.

There are three key reasons why fine-art horse portraits are limited to 7 images per session:

1. Every horse is different. Not every horse will perform every pose. We may work through 10 different poses, but your horse may only be comfortable or interested in 7 of them. Their temperament, energy, and excitement level that day all play a role.
2. Horses have limits, too. Some horses will happily participate for longer than others. If your horse loses focus after 6 poses and decides they're ready to head back to the paddock, I won't push them just to create more images. Their comfort and experience always come first.
3. Fine art takes time. Each fine-art portrait takes approximately 1–1.5 hours to individually edit and create, compared to roughly 15–20 minutes for one of my standard portraits. Every image is carefully crafted into a finished piece of art rather than simply edited.

The result? A thoughtfully curated collection of portraits, created around your horse's personality and the images that truly deserve to become art.

The horse sessions are only 30 minutes because that's usually the maximum for how long we can keep the horse's attention. I've found that, once the handler understands our assignment, it only takes about 15 minutes to capture multiple poses with their horse.

If weather conditions are unsuitable for your session, we'll simply reschedule for the next available date at no additional charge.

A signed contract and non-refundable retainer are required to secure your session date. Sessions are booked on a first-come, first-served basis and often fill several months in advance.
